Somebody has to think about the future; so it might as well be someone who’s living in the past. Keep the faith.

How many more days?

by admin on Jun.16, 2010, under April's Fool, Germany

Why am I doing this? Wait, let me think. But first I’ll count. So, if my math is correct, which it rarely is, then it should be 289 more days of walking from here to nowhere in particular; running errands and doing life’s daily chores without a car. No, I’m not complaining. So let me get back to thinking; where will this leave me 289 days from now? Probably at the side of the road, too scared to drive. I’ll need to go back to driving school. Oh, the anguish. Now that’s the downside of single-handedly trying to save the planet.

Keep the faith.

So when did Yuppies turn into grumpy old married people?

Looks by their cover…

by admin on Apr.09, 2010, under Germany, Psychology, Random Thoughts

So, well, whatever. You know, I haven’t shaved in two weeks and was walking around town today carrying two plastic grocery bags filled with groceries (Not necessarily a given, no. The plastic grocery bags could have been filled with some empties I’d just found in a nearby trash can…).

Anyway, I live in Germany: I immediately felt like an immigrant from Kurdistan. I was greeted with those same kind of “Du Ausländer” stares; I obviously looked like one. Either like an Ausländer or a homeless person; or maybe even a combination of the two. I better go shave.

Keep the faith.

Corporate thought of the day

Corporate heaven is as nebulous as corporate hell; the two are often separated by something as insignificant as peeing in the wrong urinal.

Keep the faith.
