Write! with Peter Hering

Born in Canada in 1950, L. Jerome is the son of a German immigrant father and a Navajo Indian mother. When Jerome was merely six months old, his mother tragically lost her life in a freak automobile accident. His father subsequently raises Jerome in the seclusion and anonymousness of Western Canada. The majority of his works deal with his German past; both his German ancestry as well as being raised by his militaristic and unrepentant father.

‘Promises from Tobago,’ the author’s first major book, is the story of father’s promise to his children, and the suffering he goes through to fulfill it.

Today, Jerome divides his time between Hamburg, Germany and Vancouver, BC, Canada.
